I had some things I wanted to share but I have completely forgotten what they were. I'm going to have to start writing things down when it comes to me. This journal will just have some promised features and a small feature from one of my favourites folders. Hope you like it!

This group is the very definition of what Deviant Art is to me. When I started visiting the site it use to depress me to see all the exceptional art...but it was also extreme motivation.At first it was a case of "monkey see, monkey do". I looked at what others were doing and worked really hard to emulate them. After a while I started adding my own flare until I started doing completely original pieces.
I think the #Draw-Along group helps artists do exactly that. They choose the reference for you so that you concentrate on your skill and interpretation, rather than wasting hours on deciding what to draw. Seeing other artists interpret the same reference helps you to think outside of your preconceptions of what can be done. Comparing yourself to others is sometimes hard but I believe it is the fastest way to grow.

This is honestly the one group on dA where you are the most likely to have your art exposed. There are several members (including me) that do monthly features for the group. If you want to be part of an active community, this is the group for you.
The founder, Elsa (*Egil21) works hard to make sure every member is included and creates many opportunities for all the members to be noticed. Add her to your watch-list to see a busy bee at work!
