Drawn for the contest. "Magical Moments occur when Opposites Attract in Complementary Colors Contest."
I don't think there is a more powerful magic than love. Unfortunately love becomes a challenge when people are from different worlds but it is my belief that challenges are made to be overcome. I hope you like the second appearance of this angel and demon - I'm going to have to name them soon! My choice of colors were red and green. The scanner made the green seem a bit light and a touch yellow but there's not much I can do about that ...please father Christmas, I need a new scanner...
The whole drawing was done with watercolor pencils (I don't paint with them). I decided not to use graphite pencils because I have had problems in the past scanning color and graphite combination drawings and I didn't want to take a chance. Drawn on A3 cartridge paper.
I was hooked the moment I read the "opposites attract" part. This is a follow up drawing to: I seem to be more productive with a deadline...It's the same two people/characters. I intend to do a series of drawings featuring them. I combined two photo's from the AMAZING shoot. These are the images I used: Check out the more photo's from this set here: [link]
After choosing the title this drawing has developed a somewhat ominous feel...
These two are amazing, indeed. I've started to love them already, even though you've only done two drawings so far. The shades and lighting are amazing here! I love how you can't see his face in the darkness, but that hers is very clear. Great drawing!
I've missed a few of your latest, you must of been busy while I was stuck in bed. I don't know how you manage it but you leave me stunned with every new piece, not only your expertise with pencils but your imagination and ability to combine numerous references to produce something unique.
Sorry this is so late! You need to leave the area that you want to be white, clear. You can also layer on white pencil very thick but it doesn't work as well. I sometimes put a layer of white pencil on before the color which makes it easier to not color over areas I want to leave white. Hope this helps
Thank you for the tips! I was afraid I need to leave the area clean (which I find difficult, because I've never had to care with easily erased pencil). You have remarkable skill, your drawings are a pleasure to look at. Keep it up!
